We are a family that have been living in the world of wines for generations. For us at Roagna it is not about work or a job, it is our life; day after day the vines transfers emotions to us that we love to share with our friends. We believe that wine is a precious gift because it conveys to us what heaven and earth have been able to create in a year, in a decade, in a century or even longer.
We believe that the joy of a good glass should be a common good, so we work equally hard and energetically to produce our important reserve wines, matured in the cellar for years, as we do for our young and fresh wines. In accordance with this principle, and due to our extremely limited production, the idea of introducing a selection of wines from other vineyards than Roagna vineyards was born in collaboration with Norwegian friends. In addition to Roagna wines we therefore introduced a selection of wines under the label "Selezione di Luca Roagna". The wines are made with help from Piemontese vine growers who are friends of the family, and from who we carefully selected the most interesting barrels.

Wongraven
Roagna wine - Wongraven Sigurd

The Wongraven project is the result of a meeting between to mutual passions; between a musician with great enthusiasm for the world of wine and our family’s passion for music. Sigurd Wongraven, the prominent frontman of Satyricon, is one of the worlds greatest leaders in Black Metal. He is also a wine lover having his own wine blog in a Norwegian newspaper, in addition to a weekly wine column.
He is currently taking an International diploma in enology and has visited vineyards and farmers in Italy, France, Germany and Lebanon. At the same time he is writing a book on traditional Piemontese wines and winemakers.
Together we have spent hours in the vineyard, in the cellar and at concerts. Throughout the summer and autumn of 2010 we worked hard to give life to two unique wines called Wongraven.

ALLEANZA WONGRAVEN Langhe Rosso
is the result of a careful selection of wines from friends of the Roagna family and the meticulous selection of Sigurd.
