We respect very strict parameters for the wines that we label “Riserva”.

They are made exclusively with grapes from old vines.

Submerged cap maceration lasting 80-90 days and very long ageing in oak casks, and in concrete and ceramic, sometimes twice as long as the ageing times for the standard versions of the same appellations, allowing the finest possible expression of the vineyard in the wine.

The Riserva wines go on the market about 15-20 years after the year of harvest, in very limited quantities: no more than a few hundred bottles.

In recent years we have chosen the black label, to further enhance our Reserves with a distinctive trait.

Barolo chinato vecchia formula - Roagna

Barolo Chinato
Vecchia formula

A very limited production, just a few hundred bottles, for a unique product.
The inspiration?
To reproduce the Barolo Chinato of the early days: an essential, direct, uncompromising eupeptic liqueur.
Barolo Riserva is left to infuse with herbs and spices, with no added sugar, for seven years, during which it is transformed into an intense, nuanced elixir.
